The Department seeks to fill three full-time faculty openings with appointments to begin July 1, 2009.

Assistant Professor in Political Theory

The Department of Political Science invites applications for a tenure-track position in political theory at the assistant professor level to begin July 2009. Ph.D. required at the time of appointment. Candidates will be expected to sustain an active research and publication agenda and teach in undergraduate and graduate programs. A joint appointment in Columbia's School of International and Public Affairs is possible. All candidates must have excellent scholarship and excellent promise for future development as scholars and teachers. Applicants should submit curriculum vitae, three letters of recommendation, and writing samples. The Search Committee will begin reviewing applications immediately and will consider applications received through October 3, 2008.
