The Undergraduate History Council (UHC) is a group of undergraduates
elected as representatives by history majors and concentrators. In
addition to serving as student advisors to the UNDED, they engage in a
number of independent activities intended to improve undergraduates’
educational experiences in the department. UHC members act as peer
advisors for fellow students, organize events (such as informal
discussions with faculty), and award prizes to teaching assistants.

Projects
Columbia Undergraduate Journal of History
The Columbia Undergraduate Journal of History is a new project of the Undergraduate History Council
at Columbia University which features outstanding undergraduate papers. If you would like to join the editorial board of the Columbia Undergraduate Journal of History, please send an email of interest to theuhc@gmail.com.
Advising
Advising is, as always, an important concern for the undergraduate
student body, and the UHC has been working with the UNDED to find a system
that is more responsive to the needs of students and faculty alike.
Please submit any suggestions you may have regarding advising to the UHC at theuhc@gmail.com.
