History

Biography
Tzafrir Barzilay is a second-year doctoral student in Medieval History focusing on social, cultural and religious history in Europe during the 13th to 15th centuries. He received his BA in History and General Humanities in 2008, and completed his MA in Medieval History in 2010 in the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. His master's thesis dealt with the Black Death in Aragon according to Jewish sources. He is interested in the development of the common perceptions of Jews and Christians, and their change through the 14th century crisis.
