History

Biography
Wes Alcenat is a second year student in the American History program. He is a native of Haiti who grew up in Minneapolis, MN and attended Macalester College in the Twin Cities. Wes majored in History and Political Science. He is primarily interested in African American political protest and intellectual history during the antebellum period, especially black abolitionism. He loves to travel, play and watch basketball, and is what some people would consider a political junkie.
