Education
B.A. - Wellesley College, 1957
M.A. - Yale University, 1958
Ph.D. - London University, 1966

Interests and Research
Marcia Wright, Professor Emerita of History, specializes in the social, ecological, and medicine and health history of (Anglophone) Africa. She received her B.A. from Wellesley College, her M.A. from Yale University, and her PhD from London University. Her publications include: Strategies of Slaves and Women in East-Central Africa. (New York, Barber, 1993); German Missions in Tanganyika, 1891-1941, (Oxford, Clarendon, 1971); and African Women and the Law: Historical Perspectives, co-edited with M. J. Hay (Boston, 1982)
